I am directed by the Standing Committee of the Conference of missionary Societies to enquire what steps will be taken to apply the provisions of Article 438 of the Peace Treaty with Germany to the various territories where German missions were at work and where
trustees have not yet been appointed to hold the property. in particular we should be glad of infoma- tion in regard to the following matters: -
Hongkong: We should be glad to be informed That action has been taken in Hongkong in regard to the
property of the German missions there. We think that
the best plan would be to constitute a body of local trustees consisting of representatives of the Umurch Missionary Bociety and the London Lissionary Society. We think that the matter can probably best be arranged
